Acceptance
Your use of this platform is subject to the following terms and conditions and by using this service you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, whether or not you register as a member of TheTradies. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions or the Limelight Talent Privacy Policy you may not use the Platform or Service.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions may be amended by us at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon us revising the terms and conditions on this Platform. You are responsible for ensuring you are familiar with the latest terms and conditions. Continuing to use the TheTradies platform and services represents your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions as amended.
The Service
TheTradies operates a job platform (“the Platform”) for the purpose of providing a service (“the Service”) of providing classified advertisements from third party members (“Customers”) and enabling registered members (“Members”) to apply to such advertisements and also list their own advertisements, at which point Limelight Talent will forward the Members details to the Advertiser or confirm any relevant instructions.
We are not responsible for the content and make no guarantee as to the accuracy of the advertisements. Members should always use their own judgement in deciding whether or not to apply for any of the jobs advertised on this Platform. We shall not be liable under any circumstances for the actions of any Advertiser or Member featured on this Platform. Members acknowledge that The Tradies is not responsible or liable for any interaction between themselves and third party Advertisers, this includes payment, delivery of products and services and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such agreements.
The Tradies are not responsible for the content and makes no guarantee as to the accuracy of Members personal information. Advertisers should always use their own judgement in deciding whether to contact or hire tradespeople from the platform. We shall not be liable under any circumstances for the actions of any Advertiser (Customer) or Member.
Submitting an advertisement on The Tradies is taken as consent to the use of any information submitted on your job listing or profile.
Liability
This service is provided in candour by The Tradies. No liability can be accepted for loss or expense as a result of using this Platform. By using the Platform you agree that in no circumstances shall we be liable for any direct or indirect, loss or damage, including, but not limited to, loss of any profits, loss of data, or any other form of financial loss, that may occur out of or in any connection with the use of the Platform, under any law or on any basis whatsoever whether contractual or otherwise. While we will endeavour to moderate the Platform to remove all unacceptable content, we will not be responsible for the quality, accuracy and will not be responsible for any errors, viruses, incompatible software or the disturbance in our Platforms service.
Indemnity
You agree to release, indemnify and keep indemnified us from and against all actions, claims, costs (including legal costs and expenses) losses, proceedings, damages, liabilities, or demands suffered or incurred by us to any person arising out of or in connection with your use of our services.
Jurisdiction
The terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from matters relating to the Platform shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Copyright and other intellectual property in the content of this Platform is the property of The Tradies and is protected under UK law and under international conventions and similar laws abroad. You are not permitted to use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce the name and logo of The Tradies for any reason without our express written permission.
You will not copy, download, reproduce, republish, broadcast or transmit in any manner whatsoever, any material on the Platform except as is strictly necessary for your own personal non-commercial and home use. You acknowledge that by posting materials on this Platform you grant to us royalty free, perpetual and irrevocable worldwide license to use the materials both within the Website and in any other manner.
Prohibition
You are responsible for ensuring that no material you post on The Tradies, nor any activity or communication you make through the Website, will be capable of:
- Infringing intellectual property, right to privacy, or any other rights of the individual or entity.
- Breaching any applicable law.
- Appearing to be offensive, threatening, false, obscene, pornographic, misleading or unreliable.
- Being considered spam or unfavourable advertising of any products or services.
Responsibility for Minors
This Platform is strictly for persons aged 18 or over. Under no circumstances can a profile be created for an individual under the age of 18.
Subscriptions
Advertisers will access the Platform free of charge, place relevant advertisements and obtain information submitted by Members. The Tradies does not charge for the placing of any job listings placed by Advertisers.
All members of The Tradies need to register and there are currently no fees for either customer or tradespeople memberships at this time. Any future applicable fees will be set out in our membership section and on the FAQ page of The Tradies, and our terms and conditions will be updated should this change and take effect.
The Tradies does not make a charge to an Advertiser in the event that it employs a Member, nor does it deduct any commission from the Member. Should this change in the future these terms and conditions will be updated and members will be notified.
All information provided to us must be complete and accurate. If your information changes you will be responsible for amending and updating the information. We shall not be held liable for any loss, damage or consequences as a result of inaccurate or incomplete information that is received from the Advertiser or Member.
Login Credentials
When registering as a Member on The Tradies your username will be generated based on your email address. All usernames and/or passwords are exclusive and non-transferrable and must be treated as strictly confidential at all times.
Advertisers may share usernames and passwords within the same organisation provided that adequate care is taken to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and that such access is not abused.
You are responsible for any use of our Platform with your login credentials and protecting your account from unauthorised use.
In the event that you become aware of an imminent or current account breach, you must inform us immediately by email to support@thetradies.co.uk
Member Contact
You agree that when you create a profile The Tradies will publish your information, images, videos and audio, and allow other members to contact you. You also agree that you will not use the messaging system to send junk mail, spam, offensive messages, or for any purpose other than those directly related to job listings and will be the sole judge of any breach of conditions. Any breach of these conditions can result in your membership being terminated and a permanent ban from the Platform. For the avoidance of doubt, customers contact details are used for admin purposes and are not shared with any members on our platform. If you signup as a tradesperson your information including name, profile details, email address and contact number will be shared with the customer who’s job you have sent a proposal to. Contact numbers and email addresses are only shared once the tradesperson applies to a job, they are not available to any other member on the platform.
Member Restrictions
You may not use The Tradies if;
- You have ever been convicted of a serious, violent or sexually related criminal offence
- You have been previously removed from our platform
- You are directly or indirectly involved in an business or corporation that competes with our Platforms services
Price Amendments
We reserve the right to amend our fees or introduce new prices or charges at any time. Members will be notified in advanced with no less than 20 working days.
Breach of Contract
Without limiting any other rights and remedies available to The Tradies, we may limit your activities on the platform, remove your advertisements, remove your profile and files, issue a warning to you, suspend or terminate your membership, or refuse to provide our services to you if you breach these terms and conditions or where The Tradies considers it appropriate. You agree that upon the removal of your profile, we may notify other Members or appropriate persons with whom you have had contact with on our Platform, to advise them of the removal of your account.
Cancellation of Subscription
You may cancel and request deletion of your profile at any time giving written notice by email to support@thetradies.co.uk
Malware/Viruses
Although we take necessary measures to prevent malware, viruses or any other form of harmful materials on our Platform, we do not guarantee that the service or materials that may be available from our Platform do not contain such harmful materials. We shall not be liable for any damages or liability accountable to such features. If you use any materials available through this Platform you do so entirely at your own risk.
Platform Access
Access to our site may be interrupted, restricted or delayed due to hosting downtime, maintenance or other reasons. We will not be liable for damages or costs in these circumstances.
Third Party Websites and Services
You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the availability of any third party website that may be linked in an advertisement and we do not endorse and shall not be held responsible or liable for any content, advertising, information, services or products on or available from such websites.
Posting of Job Advertisements/Auditions and Contacting Members
You guarantee that your posting and the job advertised is not in breach of any relevant law including, but not limited to, the laws relating to the national minimum wage, employment rights and equality/diversity. You agree that it is your responsibility to meet all legal obligations towards those whom your posting is aimed at.
You agree to only contact members in regards to relevant job opportunities and not for any other reasons including, but not limited too, selling third party products/ services, personal gain or spam. We reserve the right to remove Advertisers/Members and ban you from using our Platform hereafter if you are in breach of this agreement.
We reserve the right in our absolute discretion not to approve your advertisement to be listed on the Platform or to remove your advertisement and your profile from our Platform if, in our reasonable opinion, the advertisement is in breach of national minimum wage legislation, any other legislation, including relating to employment rights and equality/diversity, or is found not to be a truthful and accurate advertisement.
General
If any of these terms, conditions or clauses are found to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable by a court, the remainder of these terms and conditions shall continue to have full force and effect.
